Collingwood, or commonly referred to as Renfrew-Collingwood, is a large residential neighborhood located along the east side of Vancouver, BC. A family friendly community, Collingwood boasts excellent housing options, mature trees, safe streets and great location within the thriving city.
Homes for sale in Collingwood have historically been a single family home community, however, due to the tremendous amount of growth over the recent years, there has been an influx of multi family housing. Along with the many single family homes still found throughout the community, homes for sale in Collingwood, BC can also be found in new condominium buildings.
The average price for an apartment/condo unit is approximately $600K, whereas townhomes are slightly higher closing in at $900K. For those in the market for a single family home, one can expect to find listings averaging $2-2.5 million.
Collingwoods rough borders include E 29th Street to the north, Boundary Road to the east, 41st Avenue to the south and Nanaimo Street to the west. This ideally located community offers its residents a ton of great amenities, while also providing access to other areas around Vancouver.
For residents who enjoy spending time outside there are a handful of parks, recreation areas and more dotted throughout the Collingwood neighborhood. Directly in the heart of the community is the Renfrew Ravine Park, Renfrew Community Centre and the Renfrew Community Park. These areas offer visitors a variety of outdoor and in facility activities such as playground equipment, walking paths, open greenspace and more. Other parks throughout Renfrew-Collingwood include Slocan Park, Beaconsfield Park, Falaise Park and the expansive Central Park which falls just outside the neighborhood, to the south east.
There are plenty of tasty restaurants, shops, and services that are situated in Collingwood. From family run establishments to large chains, unique boutiques to big box stores, Renfrew-Collingwood has a wide variety of shopping and dining options. Along the north border of the community shoppers can find popular stores and restaurants such as Starbucks, Real Canadian Superstore, Walmart, Save-on-Foods, Lowe’s, Basil Garden, Boston Pizza, Tim Hortons, among many others. On the opposite end of the neighborhood, Kingsway is filled with further options for diners and shoppers to quickly access.
The City of Vancouver, BC is under the jurisdiction of the Vancouver School District 39. Along with the highly rated public school education offered to students of the area, there are also a handful of French Language Schools and private schools for families to choose from.
